Dinakshie started her profession as a TV moderator in the year 2000 displaying the Sirasa TV Punchi Panchi youngsters' project which she kept introducing for 7 years. From that point she helped a couple youngsters' projects in Sirasa and Rupavahini. In 2008 she began co-showing the Channel C music visit show C Vibez with her sister Sheshadrie. This show is seen as a venturing stone for new specialists who are attempting to break into the music and expressions world. In 2009 she introduced "Y Cafe" an adolescent magazine program on Sirasa TV and consequently a Bollywood music show Bollywood Magic on Swarnavahini.

Acting
In spite of the fact that it was in 1992 as a 2 year old that Dinakshie made her acting presentation in her fathers film Apaye Thathpara 84,000. Her first real acting part came 2009 in the tele dramatization adaptation of Upul Shantha Sannasgala's prestigious sentimental novel Wassana Sihinaya. The teledrama was created and coordinated by Janaka Siriwardana and Kavindya Jayasekara penned the script. In 2009 she was seen in the teledrama Sanda Giri Pawwa depicting the fundamental part of an educator in a country territory. She has expressed that this was her most difficult part she has depicted as the character was an instructor who originated from amazing destitution to exceed expectations in life and the touchy feelings included were trying to portray. Likewise the taping were carried out in great savage rustic regions in the Kurunagala region. Her next teledrama was Hithata Wahal Weemi Sarath Kaviratne's well known picture story that showed up in the Siththara week after week in the seventies. The teledrama was controlled by Mohan Niyaz where Dinakshie depicts the character of Nimmi.
