Athurugiriya plane crash - Watch Video









Four persons have been affirmed dead after the accident of the Sri Lanka Airforce Antonov 32 in Hokandara, Athurugiriya. As per the Director of the Colombo National Hospital Dr. Anil Jayasinghe, one survivor was exchanged from the Sri Jayawardenepura healing center to the National clinic with serious blazes.

The accident happened at around 6.20 a.m. As per the Civil Aviation Authority the plane had taken off from the Bandaranaike International Airport and was in transit to the Ratmalana Airport. The CAA notes that examinations concerning the accident will be completed by the SLAF.

The Kotte fire and salvage units have possessed the capacity to soak the fire that broke out after the accident, ambulances of the Sri Jayawardenepura healing center have additionally gone towards the accident site.
