JHU Parliamentarian and General Secretary Patali Champika Ranawaka has apologized to Sir Lester James Peiris about the misconception brought on because of an altered photo of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Sir Lester James Peiris.
Ranawaka on a public interview which was held prior, introduced a photo in which President Mahinda Rajapaksa was grasping previous LTTE Kumaran Padmanadan. Later it was uncovered that the photo was altered and that it was Sir Lester James Peiris who was in the first photo.
Then again, composition a letter to the fanciful producer, Ranawaka augmented a formal conciliatory sentiment and said that he was not in any manner mindful that the photo was not bona fide. Ranwaka apologized to Dr. Peiris over any bother that may have been created because of the episode.
In his letter, Ranawaka has stated that by publicizing the photo he needed to bring up that no lawful activity was done against the LTTE's previous second in charge Kumaran Padmanadan , who was its boss arms procurer.
The Parliamentarian has likewise said that the picture was taken from the web and it was not altered by somebody associated with the resistance.
