Official 2015 Cricket World Cup Sri Lankan Song Launch

The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the eleventh ICC Cricket World Cup, planned to be together facilitated by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015. 49 matches will be played in 14 venues with Australia arranging 26 recreations at grounds in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney while New Zealand has 23 diversions in seven urban areas, including Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Wellington. The last match of the competition will happen at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It will be one of the world's biggest global games competitions, with 14 contending groups and more than 400 licensed players and authorities joining in it.

The facilitating rights were granted in the meantime as those of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, which Australia and New Zealand had initially offered to have, and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, which was honored to England. The 2011 competition was granted to the four Asian Test cricket playing nations, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, in a 10 to 3 vote (Pakistan later lost the co-facilitating rights because of a terrorist assault on the Sri Lankan group). The International Cricket Council were sufficiently awed with the trans-Tasman offer that it was chosen to honor the following World Cup to Australia and New Zealand. This is the second time that the competition will be held in Australia and New Zealand, with the first being the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

India are the shielding champions, having won the competition in 2011 when it was held in the Indian subcontinent, overcoming Sri Lanka in the finals. Tickets for the Pool B match in the middle of India and Pakistan booked on 15 February 2015, were purportedly sold out inside 12 minutes.
